Current Needs

PROJECT ENGINEER:

Prepare engineering documents for planning, designing, and directing large underground pipeline projects, including large-diameter water, sewer, tunnel, steam and underground municipal utilities.  Prepare and analyze drawings, blueprints, survey reports and maps using engineering and design software. Prepare project scheduling, estimates and project bidding documents.  Assist with project management and contract management and submittal processing. Assist with supervision of inspections, site safety, material purchasing/monitoring, and quality control. Advise clients and subcontractors of any deficiencies with recommendations for how to resolve any problems. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and permit requirements.

Job Requirements:  Must have Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

SUPERINTENDENT FOR HEAVY CONSTRUCTION / CIVIL ENGINEERING / UNDERGROUND UTILITIES:

Specializing in projects ranging from $5 – $50 million in Northern California.  Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 10 years’ urban environment experience in Public Works underground utilities construction, with a thorough knowledge of all aspects of heavy construction.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide overall on-site supervisory management
  • Interfacing with client representatives, subcontractors, etc.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise field activities
  • Assist project management with developing and managing project work schedules
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries
  • Schedule, coordinate, manage and supervise construction crews of various sizes for day-to-day construction activities

INTERNS:

Ranger Pipelines is always seeking college junior and senior undergraduates that are interested in learning about the Heavy Civil Engineering contracting business through an internship with us. This experience would be at one or more of our current contract locations throughout Northern California. This internship has the possibility to mature into full time employment upon graduation.
