Who We Are

Thomas Hunt founded Ranger Pipelines and continues to lead the company as the President and CEO. Mr. Hunt established Ranger Pipelines after a successful career in heavy and general engineering construction which included his work with Morrison-Knudsen Corporation on the Alaskan pipeline project.

Since 1982, we have successfully constructed over 700 heavy underground projects, many involved complex shoring, difficult ground/site conditions and heavy dewatering systems. We have extensive experience working in congested urban areas and in rural areas with a variety of environmental constraints throughout California, and are familiar with all permitting and safety requirements. We have also been involved in Design-Build and Design-Assist projects.

Ranger Pipelines has an experienced management staff with a high level of expertise to plan and execute the work, and we have the staff and resources to provide multiple crews and equipment to execute the work within an expedited schedule. We have strong relationships with specialty subcontractors and suppliers throughout the state, which will allow us to ensure quality products and control the material delivery schedule. We also regularly meet local hire and disadvantaged entity subcontracting goals.

Our commitment to excellence in project execution goes hand-in-hand with our commitment to safety. Our safety culture empowers employees at all levels to accept ownership for safety and to take actions that are consistent with our goal of zero accidents. Ranger Pipelines has an excellent safety record, evidenced by our EMR and RIR rates, both of which are below industry averages. Our commitment to safety extends beyond our personnel and subcontractors to the general public that could be affected by our construction activities.

As part of the project team, we bring our collaborative philosophy, 39 years of industry experience, and best practices to promote project success. Our goal is to exceed value, quality, and schedule expectations.
