Hawthorne Utility Undergrounding

Project Details

The Town of Tiburon Public Works Department organized the Hawthorne Undergrounding Utility Project. The project included relocating the PG&E Power, AT&T Telephone, and Comcast Communications aerial facilities to underground.

This area was primarily single-family residential and included the Belvedere Tennis Club, and local schools and churches. The purpose of the project was to improve system safety and reliability, as well as neighborhood aesthetics.

The project itself consisted of approximately 13,000 LF of open cut excavation and the installation of 1” – 6” conduit. Ranger Pipelines coordinated installation of services with eighty private homeowners which presented a unique challenge.
